Alien Tommy Lee Jones (異星人ジョンース): the boss of them all since 1992

A public relations class that touched upon the subject of celebrities who do commercials in Japan  made me think of Alien Tommy Lee Jones.

In Japan Tommy Lee Jones is the face of Boss Coffee, one of the many brands of Japanese canned coffee.  Boss canned coffee is available either hot or cold in vending machines and convenience stores across Japan.

The premise of this advertising campaign is that Alien Jones is a an alien that happens to look exactly like actor Tommy Lee Jones.  Alien Jones has come to earth to research human culture, drink Boss coffee, and generally be judgemental.  

While Alien Jones probably comes from a civilization that has harnessed the spacefaring potential of negative energy and wormholes, Alien Jones appears to be really bad at research.  He has been on earth since 2006 but has not yet progressed past the working menial jobs in Japan phase of his research.
